Someone in red crossed my way

This small, red animal is a velvet mite (Trombidium holosericeum): It`s quite a big mite; this one was 7 mm long. Adult velvet mites eat small insects and insect eggs.

A small “lodger” during wintertime

An unexpected visitor

Small but nice!     A five mm small spider (Family: Salticidae). I`m not sure, but maybe the scientific name is “Salticus cingulatus”.
